Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Woooooo - Number 13, Unlucky for some but not for the photography forum users - another thread of wonderful exemplary photography

    So here goes - refresh your minds on the rules;

    This thread is for random pictures of random things in random places by random people - so basically this is the place for random photographs.

    No expectation of quality or content. It's for everyone. This thread exists because it is good to share :) Please familiarise yourself with the rules before posting.

    A little discussion is allowed but don't enter into debate as the thread is intended mainly to show photographs.

    Thread rules [Please Read] NB - IMPORTANT STUFF NEXT

    * General Charter Rules Apply

    * All images must be 800 pixels or less on the longest side. Any posts with images which break this rule will be deleted.

    * No Quoting Images - Please don't include the original picture in your reply to a post.

    * Making your picture a link to the page it's hosted on flickr or pix.ie or elsewhere is both handy for us nosy lot to find the rest of your stuff, and also generally considered the polite thing to do by the image host. Indeed for some including pix.ie and flickr, it is a condition of using their service.

    * No arguments. Self explanatory really.

    * If you have a disagreement with a photo, use the report post feature - don't go abusing the poster.

    Welcome newbies... Always great to see you moving away from lurking to taking part - we won't bite (eh... too often).

    If you find yourself on the wrong side of these rules, prepare yourself for your post to be deleted, or if you've been feicing around repeatedly, prepare yourself for break from the forum.

    By submitting your image to the random thread it will be considered for the forum's Photo of the Week as outlined on the ideas thread. Don't worry, this isn't a daunting experience - you won't even know until it happens :)

    Have fun and enjoy. Thank you.

    Now off with ya!

    Keith, I notice a lot of landscapes from you lately. They are all really rich in colour, what processing do you use to get such vibrancy ?

    All last night were shot on the Mk3 using the 7 shot bracket, blended in Photomatix and then adjusted in PS using a Topaz preset that I set up. I think the camera is set up at one click + on saturation already. I would rekon its the 7 shots that give the range of colours though

    Thanks Paul

    I was wondering the same thing - your photos have great colour.

    whats the story with topaz ? i googled it there - you pay about 50 quid for it and it then appears in photoshop ?

    Are not they printed on colour paper?
    Unless you are printing yourself and can adjust the contrast to HIGH - you will get a kinda colour feel to the prints.
